Happy Labor Day!
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend and are rejuvenated to take on September. According to the Almanac we have 21 days of Summer left. That gives you 21 days to get all the summer partying and mindset out of your system. Yes, I give you permission :) BUT, then let's agree on an agenda. In 21 days, it's time to get down and dirty serious with new goals and a renewed mindset to tackle whatever it is you're going after.
Some of you know that I took a mini-vacay to Las Vegas just 9 days ago. It was an early wedding anniversary vacay, plus to celebrate new beginnings with Element 5 Fitness, and I got to celebrate it with some of my E5 family. We had a blast just letting loose, being kids with not a care in the world. We all need that once in a while, heck probably 2-3 times a year to be honest.
It's important to ebb and flow with the seasons and shed all your stresses, but to come back from it with a solid game plan on how to continuously move forward.
The simplest change in mindset is a challenge, I get it, I've been there, but understand the "cost" of not moving forward, and not investing the best for yourself and your loved ones.
The past doesn't matter. What matters is what you do today to create your future. It's good to plan for the future, but do whatever you can TODAY, SHOW UP in your life TODAY. Don't focus so much on what's possibly going down tomorrow or the rest of the week. Show up in your life today, be satisfied and grateful with that, and know you lived a life of love and that you mattered.
You owe it to yourself to REALIZE just HOW GOOD YOU REALLY ARE!
This will make a huge change for you and help you let go of some things.
Sounds easy but we know change and moving forward is hard! We need friends and mentors to ignite and light that fire under us (I have 5 mentors, just so you know, to help push me, but I fully understand that change comes from within).
So to put you in the spotlight...
Are YOU stuck?
Do you need to make changes in your life and fitness?
How long have you been where you don't want to be? And how much will you miss by staying there?
Here is the great thing about wherever you are - if you don't like it you can change it!
First you have to take 100% responsibility for where you are.
Then make a choice to change it.
Easy? Nope.
Will you feel all types of resistance (within yourself, your friends and family too)? All the time.
Will it be the most worthwhile thing you have done in a long time? SHOUT "HELL YEAH"!
Maybe I made you think about what it is your feeling stuck with.
What I can't do is "convince" you or make the choice for you.
Change has to come from inspired action, from the inside.
